Podcasts from Mount Rainier

Chuck's will be calling in periodically to publish reports from Washington's Mount Rainier. He is able to do this through a satellite connection. Depending on connectivity, he will be calling in daily reports of the day's activities and potentially calling in from the summit of Mount Rainier on July 24th 2008.

Instructions have been listed below to assist you in listening into the reports.

The easiest way to follow along is to simple click on the Orange XML below. You should see a new window open up with a list that says "EXPEDITION RAINIER PODCAST...powered by Hipcast".  Subscribers of "My Yahoo!" have found adding this podcast to be very computer friendly.  With "My Yahoo!", simply click on the little speaker next to "EXPEDITION RAINIER PODCAST" and viola you home free.

This podcast is a free service and should provide subscribers with the most recent reports from the climb.

In the event that the XML tag does not work for you, you wish to listen to the podcast via iTunes, or you simply want to torture yourself,  follow the instructions listed below.

Step 1) First, you need to have the iTunes software installed on your machine. Click here to download iTunes in a new window. If you already have iTunes on your computer go to Step 2 and ignore Step 1.

Step 2) Once iTunes is installed, open is so it is running:

Step 3)  Copy the URL below: 

http://auvethi.hipcast.com/rss/expeditionrainier2008.xml

Step 4)  Switch your screen to the iTunes application and then...

  1. click Advanced on the top of the page,
  2. scroll down and click Subscribe to Podcasts,
  3. Paste the URL into the window that pops up,
  4. Click OK and you showed see the recent recordings from Mount Rainier under EXPEDITION RAINIER PODCAST with in the Purple Folders named Podcasts.
